How to read the numbers
Even splits assume you portion by volume or weight after mixing โ if one tray has extra cheese, weigh containers on a scale for tighter accuracy. Percent-of-day uses a 2,000 kcal reference only as context; your needs may be higher or lower.

FAQ
- How do I split calories evenly across meal-prep containers?
- Weigh or log the whole finished dish, enter total calories and the number of identical portions, and divide. Sauces and oils count โ if you add them after cooking, include them in the batch total.
- What if I know calories per portion but not the full batch?
- Use Plan portions mode: enter target kcal per container and how many you need. The calculator multiplies for total calories to shop and cook toward.
- Are the macro lines required?
- No. Leave protein, carbs, and fat blank for a calorie-only split. When you enter whole-batch macros, the tool divides them the same way as calories.
- Is 2,000 kcal the right daily reference?
- It is a common label reference for percent-of-day hints, not a personal target. Adjust mentally if your maintenance calories differ.
